Is the Ingenico Desk 3500 Wifi at the end of its life?
Important update: Ingenico DESK 3500 Wifi Series transition to DESK 2600 Wifi
Ingenico has announced that the DESK 3500 Wifi devices will reach their End of Life (EOL) in late 2025. While the DESK 3500 Wifi devices will continue to function and receive necessary support and service for the time being a transition to the DESK 2600 Wifi series will begin to ensure optimal performance for merchants and sales partners.
Key details about the transition:
-
The DESK 2600 Wifi will replace the DESK 3500 Wifi and is nearly identical in functionality, offering the same payment processing capabilities.
-
The DESK 2600 Wifi supports Ethernet and Wifi communication only.
- The transition to the DESK 2600 Wifi will be effective starting January 20, 2025.
- For more information, review the Quick Reference Guide (QRG) for the DESK2600 Wifi.
What merchants need to know:
- Merchants currently using the DESK 3500 Wifi can continue using their devices, with full support for the time being.
- For new installations or device replacements, the DESK 2600 Wifi will be the recommended device beginning January 2025.
