Tickets and tabs allow you to create open tickets, such as food and drink orders, and close out when your customers are ready
To enable tickets and tabs in Retail Theme:

Head to Menu → Settings → Tickets.

Optional - Create Identifier Sets to assign a location to a customer/ticket.
To create a ticket:

Select items or add an express item and tap Create Ticket.

Enter a ticket name, optional note, select an identifier (if enabled), and tap Create Ticket.

Tickets can be printed if there are printers connected.

Item and modifier price details are not displayed on printed tickets, but are included on the transaction receipt.

To start a tab:

Select items or add an express item and tap Create Ticket.

Run a card, add a ticket name, optional note, select an identifier (if enabled), and tap Create Ticket.

Ticket name will default to cardholder’s name.

Smart POS, Smart POS+, and Smart Flex users: You must select Credit before inserting a card to start a tab.

To edit a ticket or tab:

Tap on the Tickets icon.

A green checkmark identifies open tabs.

Users can edit, close, or delete a ticket by swiping left.

All employees, regardless of role, can view and close open tickets.

Items can be added or removed, but item details cannot be edited within the ticket.

Tap Save to save your edits and return to the New Sale screen.

If needed, you will have the option to print all ticket items or only the recently added items.

To close a ticket or tab:

Tap on the Tickets icon and select the ticket or tab you would like to close.

To close a ticket, tap Close and follow the checkout process.

To close a tab, tap Close. The transaction will be processed using the card on file.

If the transaction fails, you will have the option to use another method of payment.

Tickets (create ticket) print to all connected printers. Receipts (after the ticket is closed) print only to the device printer or the printer you select on the receipt options screen.
