How do I set up employee passcodes on my device?
Note: Only available for Payanywhere Smart Solutions.
Managing employee access to your point-of-sale device is easier with Payanywhere’s Employee Passcodes. Here’s how you can set them up and streamline user management.
What are employee passcodes?
Employee passcodes provide a secure and seamless way for employees to log in and switch between accounts on your point-of-sale device. Each passcode is specific to the user's account (MID), username, and device.
Important: Employees must already have an account on Payments Hub.
Setting up employee passcodes
- Log in to the Payanywhere app on your payment terminal using your employee email address and password.
- Go to Menu → Settings → PIN Settings.
- Enable Employee Passcode.
- Enter your preferred passcode and confirm it by inputting it a second time.
- Your employee passcode has now been set.
- Follow these steps for each employee account.
Tip: If it’s your first time logging into the device, the system will automatically prompt you to set up a passcode.
Switching users with employee passcodes
- While logged in, go to Menu → Switch User.
- The next user enters their passcode to log in.
- The previous user is logged out, and the new user is logged in.
Tip: Passcodes must be created on each device the employee uses.
