Use this guide to make your first sale on your Smart Terminal Mini

In order to make a sale on your Smart Terminal Mini, you will need to select a theme before you make your first sale. Payanywhere equipment offers a default terminal theme that functions similarly to a traditional credit card terminal. If you'd like more advanced features like inventory management and open tabs, you can switch to the retail theme.

How to select a theme on your smart terminal

To change your theme, go to the "settings" icon and select "theme". This will allow you to customize your sales process and optimize your experience with your smart POS device.

Making a sale with the terminal theme

1. Enter a dollar amount on the "new sale" screen.
2. Insert an EMV chip card into the terminal, or select the desired payment method at the bottom of the screen.
3. Your customer can sign and tip during the checkout process.
4. You can select to email, print, or SMS a receipt to your customer.

Make a sale with the retail theme

1. Add one or more items to your cart. Tap "charge" to proceed to checkout or "create ticket" to create an open ticket.
2. Insert an EMV chip card into the terminal, or select the desired payment method from the “checkout” screen.
3. Your customer can sign and tip if necessary.
4. A receipt can be  provided by email, print, or SMS.
