How do I fix First Data VXN error 53?
VXN Error 53 signifies the terminal is not detecting an internet connection
Check your internet
To ensure the internet works, we recommend checking your internet connection from a computer. To do this, simply open a browser and visit any new website.
If the internet isn't working, try rebooting the router. Unplug any Cat5 wires from the router, then unplug the power chord for the router and wait for over 30 seconds. Plug everything back into the router and test the internet connection by visiting a website from a computer. If this doesn't resolve the problem, contact your internet service provider.
Try rebooting the terminal
Unplug the power and all cables to the terminal. Wait for over 30 seconds and then plug in the chords and turn the terminal on. The terminal will to connect to the router and you may try again.
