How do I accept contactless payments on my Smart Terminal?
To accept a contactless payment:
- Ensure that your reader is connected before accepting a contactless payment.
- On the checkout screen, tap either the "Apple Pay" or "contactless payment" button. For Payanywhere terminals, there's no need to select a payment method for customers to pay with their NFC-enabled device or credit card.
- Hold the device or card approximately 4 centimeters away from the large end of the reader, but don't hold it too far as it may result in a failed connection. When using an NFC-enabled credit card in the terminal theme, select either "Apple Pay" or "Samsung Pay" to activate the NFC reader, then hold the card near the reader.
Should a customer want to use an NFC-enabled credit card while in the terminal theme, simply select either "Apple Pay" or "Samsung Pay" to activate the NFC reader, then hold the card near the reader. This will ensure a seamless and secure contactless payment experience for both you and your customer.
